Born at just 4.5 ounces, Prince entered the world fighting for every breath and every gram of weight. His early days were filled with round‑the‑clock tube feedings, careful monitoring, and an unwavering determination that quickly captured the hearts of people around the world.

At six weeks, a Grade 5 heart murmur revealed Patent Ductus Arteriosus, a life‑threatening congenital defect. With the support of my veterinarian, the NC State cardiology team, and an incredible community of dog lovers, Prince underwent invasive heart surgery — and survived against every odd. His heart shrank by a third overnight, his energy soared, and the tiny puppy who once struggled to nurse became a joyful whirlwind of personality.

Today, Prince lives a full, happy life as a beloved companion alongside three other Belgian Sheepdogs, enjoying every adventure to the fullest. His story remains a testament to resilience, teamwork, and the extraordinary spirit that can live inside even the smallest puppy.
